Rising operating expenses and shrinking profit margins are forcing iGaming operators to shift their strategic focus toward long-term player retention and increasing customer lifetime value. This shift was outlined by Iryna Ashirova during an appearance on the Vyshnya, Simka i Lymon podcast.
According to Ashirova, companies are facing increasing user acquisition costs alongside higher platform fees and more expensive payment services. As a result, generating high profits through inexpensive traffic has become significantly more difficult.
Ashirova noted that the period of super-profits driven by accessible traffic has effectively drawn to a close. To successfully recover user acquisition expenditures under tighter margins, businesses must now focus on keeping players engaged for longer periods and working more effectively with their existing audiences.
