LuckAtlas Rating Methodology
The LuckAtlas rating is an editorial assessment of gaming platforms on a scale from 0 to 5.
The maximum possible rating is 5.0. At present, LuckAtlas has not awarded this score to any platform because the editorial team has not identified a brand that meets all evaluated criteria without significant limitations or shortcomings.
The minimum value on the scale is 0, although ratings at this level are not used in the catalog in practice. LuckAtlas pre-selects platforms for review and does not include brands with confirmed serious violations, evidence of fraudulent activity, or other circumstances that make them unsuitable for inclusion in the rating.
The rating reflects the editorial assessment of LuckAtlas at the time of the most recent review and may change when significant new information becomes available.
What criteria are considered
When evaluating a platform, LuckAtlas considers a combination of factors:
- licensing and legal operation;
- brand reputation;
- registration and account functionality;
- KYC procedures;
- available deposit methods;
- withdrawal process and conditions;
- platform speed and stability;
- interface and navigation usability;
- mobile version or application;
- quality and availability of customer support;
- range of products and services;
- transparency of rules and conditions;
- responsible gambling practices;
- GEO availability;
- public complaints and reputation signals;
- overall user experience.
LuckAtlas does not use a fixed mathematical formula in which each criterion is assigned a predetermined percentage.
The final score is determined by the editorial team based on the overall combination of verified factors and comparison between platforms.
What LuckAtlas verifies
When preparing a review, the editorial team attempts, where possible, to go through the main stages of the user journey directly.
The following areas are checked:
- registration;
- account functionality;
- KYC and identity verification procedures;
- deposits;
- withdrawals;
- available payment methods;
- customer support;
- mobile version or application;
- navigation and interface usability;
- website speed and stability;
- platform availability for the target GEO;
- key rules, restrictions, and terms of use.
Platform verification is not limited to information published on the operator’s official website.
What sources are used
LuckAtlas uses several types of sources:
- official operator websites;
- terms and conditions;
- licensing information;
- official documents and public data;
- open forums and public discussions;
- user reviews and complaints;
- other publicly available sources.
LuckAtlas can also communicate directly with representatives of the brands included on the website.
Direct contact may be used to clarify disputed, unclear, or recently changed information. However, access to a brand representative does not itself influence the platform’s rating.
How complaints and reputation are considered
A public complaint on its own is not treated as proof of wrongdoing by an operator.
LuckAtlas treats complaints as signals that may require additional verification.
When a serious or recurring issue is identified, the editorial team may:
- review available public information;
- compare information from several independent sources;
- review the operator’s rules and terms;
- request clarification from a brand representative.
If an issue is confirmed by the operator or supported by other sufficient evidence, it may be taken into account when assigning or reviewing the rating.
Unverified allegations are not presented by LuckAtlas as established facts.
GEO and local brand versions
The current LuckAtlas rating is primarily focused on the Ukrainian market.
The evaluation therefore primarily considers conditions, availability, and user experience relevant to users in Ukraine.
Some brands, however, operate across multiple countries and markets.
A developed international infrastructure may be considered an additional advantage because a user of the Ukrainian version of a brand may temporarily or permanently be located outside Ukraine.
However, conditions in other GEOs do not by themselves determine the rating of the Ukrainian version of the platform.
LuckAtlas also distinguishes between local domains and different versions of the same brand. The same brand name does not always mean the same operator, the same conditions, or the same availability in every country.
What the LuckAtlas rating means
What a 5.0 rating means in the LuckAtlas ranking
5.0 out of 5 is the maximum possible LuckAtlas rating.
It represents an exceptionally strong result across all major criteria, without identified significant shortcomings, limitations, or reputation factors that could materially affect the user experience.
At present, LuckAtlas has not awarded a 5.0 rating to any platform.
What a 4.9 rating means in the LuckAtlas ranking
4.9 out of 5 represents a very high editorial rating.
The platform performs strongly across most key criteria, successfully passes the main stages of user-focused verification, and generally demonstrates a high level of availability, functionality, and user experience.
At the same time, individual limitations, shortcomings, or reputation factors may remain, which is why the maximum rating of 5.0 is not awarded.
What a 4.8 rating means in the LuckAtlas ranking
4.8 out of 5 represents a high editorial rating.
The platform meets the core LuckAtlas requirements and performs well across most criteria, but has some more noticeable limitations or shortcomings compared with platforms rated 4.9.
These factors do not make the platform unreliable, but they are taken into account when comparing brands with one another.
What a 4.7 rating means in the LuckAtlas ranking
4.7 out of 5 represents a positive editorial rating for a platform that has passed the basic LuckAtlas selection criteria.
The platform may still have certain limitations related to functionality, GEO availability, user experience, support, operating conditions, or other evaluated areas.
Such factors do not necessarily justify removing the platform from the catalog, but they affect its position relative to brands with higher ratings.
What a 4.6 rating means in the LuckAtlas ranking
4.6 out of 5 represents a positive editorial rating for a platform that meets the core LuckAtlas selection criteria.
Compared with higher-rated platforms, it may have more noticeable limitations related to user experience, functionality, support, GEO availability, operating conditions, reputation, or other evaluated areas.
These factors are taken into account when comparing platforms and determining their position in the rating.
Editorial independence
A commercial or partnership relationship between LuckAtlas and an operator does not guarantee inclusion in the rating and does not provide a higher score.
The size or structure of a commercial partnership is not a rating criterion.
An editorial rating may be reduced regardless of any partnership if confirmed problems or significant changes in the operation of the platform are identified during review.
Information capable of affecting a brand’s evaluation is not excluded from the analysis solely because LuckAtlas has a commercial relationship with the operator.
When a rating is reviewed
Ratings are not permanent.
A rating may be reviewed because of:
- changes in licensing;
- changes to rules or operating conditions;
- changes to payment methods;
- problems with deposits or withdrawals;
- changes in the quality of customer support;
- changes in GEO availability;
- significant interface or functionality changes;
- confirmed complaints;
- new reputation-related information;
- other significant new information about the platform.
Changes in commercial terms between LuckAtlas and an operator are not, by themselves, a reason to increase or reduce a platform’s rating.
