NRG is close to extending its cooperation with head coach Malcolm bonkar Rench, with both sides having reached a verbal agreement regarding a new three-year contract according to Sheep Esports.
bonkar took charge of NRG prior to the 2025 VCT season and emerged as a central figure in the team's roster rebuild. Following his return to active coaching in 2025, NRG advanced to the VCT Americas Stage 2 final and subsequently triumphed at VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris.
The squad maintained a strong competitive level through 2026, securing top-three finishes across all regional tournaments and at Masters Santiago, while also earning qualification for Champions Shanghai as the reigning world champion.
At present, three NRG players namely Ethan, mada, and keiko are tied to contracts running through the end of 2027. Meanwhile, the current agreements for skuba and brawk are set to expire at the conclusion of 2026, meaning their future status could develop into a primary focus during the upcoming offseason.
