Astralis plans to sign Nikita Samolotov on loan

Danish esports organization Astralis is reportedly planning to sign Ukrainian player Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov on a loan deal. According to information provided by insider KRL, which has been corroborated by sources from the portal HLTV, the organization intends to integrate the player into its new roster.

Should the move proceed, Samolotov is expected to shift away from his customary role as a sniper. Instead, he is slated to take on a position as a rifler within the team. The 19-year-old player previously gained experience with the AWP while competing for NAVI Youth starting in 2023.

The potential acquisition comes as Astralis management seeks replacements for current team members Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard. Reports indicate that these recruitment efforts stem from ongoing complications in contract extension negotiations with both players.

Samolotov was recently moved to the substitute bench by his former team, FUT, following a decline in his competitive form, with Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia taking his place in the starting lineup.
