German esports organization BIG has announced the signing of Pavle "Maden" Boskovic to its Counter-Strike 2 academy roster. The 27-year-old Montenegrin player will take on the responsibilities of in-game leader for the squad.
Boskovic, who previously competed for fnatic, stated that he has long held a desire to transition into the captain role. He expressed his intention to change the trajectory of his career to focus on building the team and contributing to the development of younger talent.
In addition to the arrival of their new captain, the organization introduced Daniel "sprayxd" Kogan as the head coach of BIG Academy. Kogan joins the team following his tenure as a mentor for Young Ninjas.
The current BIG Academy roster now features Maden alongside David "prosus" Hesse, Asim "aZe" Aliyev, Niklas "Hrdina" Gutira, and 19-year-old Ukrainian player Anton "doni" Savenkov.
