Launching a new online casino project now requires financial investments ranging from $7 million to $10 million, according to iGaming product and player retention expert Iryna Ashirova.
Five years ago, launching an offshore project required only €1 million to €2 million, but currently even €5 million is insufficient. Ashirova noted that a lack of operational management experience and excessively rapid scaling frequently lead to the bankruptcy of new companies.
Platform statistics show that 7 to 8 out of 10 operators close within their first year of operation. The primary challenge is a shortage of working funds, as companies exhaust their available money before they can recover the costs of acquiring traffic.
